War Medicine is a supernatural western set in 1866 that takes the reader from the plains of Oklahoma to high society in New Orleans to the shores of Liberia on a quest for vengeance.
To the world at large, Catherine Victor ("Ve'ots'e" in her native tongue, meaning "warpath") is a bounty hunter and freelance problem solver with mixed Cheyenne and African heritage -- solemn but friendly, lethal when she has to be. She returns to her tribal home to find everyone she's ever known and loved dead, their bodies either missing or in pieces. With steely determination, she sets herself on a path to find answers ... and brutal frontier justice!
